The Seminar is sponsored by OCA-NJ, Middlesex County College, the Polaris Project, and Catholic Charities of Newark. Funding has been provided by the Ong Family Foundation. Simultaneous translations will be performed in Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese.
The Department of State estimates 18,000 to 20,000 persons are trafficked into the United States each year for both sexual and labor exploitation. Human trafficking is a pressing issue in New Jersey, given its proximity to criminal networks and international ports in New York and Philadelphia, numerous farms that rely on migrant labor, and large number of vulnerable children particularly in low-income communities.
This seminar will focus on the following topics: What is human trafficking? / Who are the traffickers and victims? / Training on victim identification / Introduction to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA, 2000), including general information about the T-visa

Works of famous poets such as William Shakespeare, W B Yeats, Maya Angelou, William Wordsworth and John Keats, have been selected to be choreographed in an Indian way.
