Want to experience an authentic Asian spa? Owner HIsako was the most sought-after massage therapist and esthetician for three years in a high-end spa, before opening the Ginger Spa. It is the only Japanese-owned spa in New Jersey.
One of their signature treatments, "cupping massage", is originally from Asia and a very unique treatment with clear cups. Therapists use these bulb-like cups as vacuums that can suck toxins away from the body. The treatment leaves the cups' round marks on your skin. The more you needed the treatment, the darker the marks in those areas--but don't worry, they disappear in 3-7 days. The treatment helps to loosen adhesions and stimulates circulation.
