Eco-friendly sauce store in Tokyo!
"Selling fresh sauce by quantity" is the unique feature of this brand-new store just opened in Tokyo this July. Owned by Takeda Shoten, this store has a history of over 100 years as a sauce company using a traditional method in Japan.
The sauce is comparable, yet thicker, than American steak sauce or Worcestershire sauce, and goes really well with deep-fried katsu dishes. The store has been getting a lot of attention for its delicious products and its eco-friendly system. Customers can bring their own containers to buy as much sauce as they want.
This prevents waste. The store introduced this interesting retail system to meet a wide range of customer needs, from single adults to big families. But they all describe the sauce's flavor as a "condensed blessings on earth"!
