Camp Sejong
King Saejong Cultural Outreach was founded to celebrate the diversity of our families and the Asian American community, affording our children an opportunity to explore their cultural roots and affirm their unique identities.
Camp Sejong was created in direct response to the 1992 LA riots in an effort to give Korean born adoptees a meaningful connection to and pride in their Korean heritage.
Our staff and volunteers cross cultural boundaries as powerful role models to all of our children. Korean professionals in the fields of Sports, Medicine, Media, Law Enforcement, Culture, Literature, Business and Government have enhanced our program greatly. These accomplished and generous individuals have donated their time and effort to provide a connection to their Korean heritage which our children will carry into their adult lives. By the year 2000, our children will be a part of the new voice of a politicized Asian-America. A voice shaped and empowered by experiences gained through the Saejong Alliance.
